A new collection designed for the greatest social impact.

The MIMCO x Ethical Fashion Initiative story continues with a new design capsule, hand-crafted in Kenya.

The Glow collection marks our sixth year of collaboration with the EFI, as we continue to support artisans living in marginalised communities around the world, helping to preserve traditional skills and build a more responsible fashion industry.

Previously, I was working as a cloth vender in Gikomba Market, but my stall was destroyed in a fire. I did not have a source of livelihood until a friend introduced me to this group, and now, I can proudly say that my family's basic needs are met. To me, that is reason enough to be thankful to the EFI.

Behind the Design

Made by local artisans, the Glow collection is highly covetable, collectable and unique. An exclusive capsule of ethical handbags and jewellery you won’t find anywhere else.

Glow Bags

Each Glow bag was assembled by hand using maple wood beads, and lined with local African ‘Kikoy’ cotton fabric in a contrast stripe print.

There are three on-trend shapes to choose from including a slim crossbody bag, a crossbody bag, and a spacious tote ; the latter two of which are trimmed with smooth pebble leather for a luxe finish.

Glow Jewellery

These hand-crafted statement jewels feature shimmering sequins and intricate beaded detail. We love the way they catch the light as you move.

Our Impact

For every MIMCO x EFI collection, a Social Impact Report is produced in order to ensure that the work is positively impacting the lives of the artisans involved. From providing a regular source of income, to improving their skills through on-the-job training; each collection is designed for the greatest social impact.
