MIDNIGHT RENDEZVOUS

Natalie wears our Stolen Kiss Heel and Origami Envelope

In the season where after-dark dressing rules, model & blogger Natalie Cantell is a modern-day heroine mastering the art of dressing up. Her relaxed Bondi style has an unexpected, but nothing short of head-turning polish. On her Summer Wishlist: her US visa and a party (or maybe two!).

My “dressing up” wardrobe consists of...

Indulgent accessories that make daywear work into the night.

My style hero is…

Steve McQueen.

My mantra for dressing up is...

It’s all about the accessories. There’s always a pair of earrings hiding in my bag that can make what I’m wearing event-appropriate.

The final touch: Our Go To Torque
Dancing shoes: Our Stolen Kiss Heel

My favourite party outfit when I was a kid was…

Family photo albums would suggest no pants and a Batman t-shirt.

And now it’s…

Whatever the latest thing I’ve found and fallen in love with on my travels.

If a song played every time I walked into a room, it’d be…

‘Miserlou’, or anything from a Tarantino soundtrack.

The woman I wish I could meet is…

Peggy Guggenheim.

My ultimate Summer Wish will be...

Getting my U.S. visa!

NAT'S TOP 5 TIPS FOR DRESSING UP

1. You get to wear a statement necklace or statement earrings. Not both

2. Comfortable shoes, always. These strappy beauties (Our Stolen Kiss Heels!) prove a stacked heel doesn’t have to be clunky

3. Wearing all black with a pop of colour on your toes is always a great fall-back

4. Downsize your bag, it immediately makes you look like you’re going somewhere other than the office. Not teeny-tiny like Marissa had on The O.C., but definitely something too small for your day-planner and make-up bag (I’m deadly serious, you do not need your entire make-up bag)

5. I know, it’s hot and it’s party season, but if you’re going to get your legs wayyyyy out, keep it chic by toning things down a little somewhere else. Take your pick: minimal, illuminating make-up, flat footwear, simple hair… a little knot is always chic when the nights get hot and sticky
